Our History
The Chinese American Association of Commerce (CAAC) was established in 1980 in the State of California during the early period of normalized diplomatic relations between the United States and China.
At a time when cross-Pacific commerce and cultural exchange were rapidly expanding, CAAC was formed by community leaders and business professionals who believed that economic cooperation and civic responsibility should advance together.
Over the decades, CAAC has witnessed the growth of Chinese American entrepreneurship and the evolving role of Chinese Americans in American civic and commercial life.

美國華商總會(CAAC)成立於1980年,依法註冊於加州。創立之初,正值中美建交初期,兩國經貿與文化往來逐步發展。
本會由多位社區領袖與商界人士共同發起,旨在推動經濟合作的同時,強調社會責任與公共參與。

Organizational Structure
CAAC is organized as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit business association under United States law.
As a membership-based organization, CAAC focuses on professional collaboration, advocacy within lawful boundaries, and member services.
Our affiliated charitable entity, CAAC Foundation (501(c)(3)), operates separately to advance educational and community service initiatives.
The distinction between these entities ensures clarity of mission and compliance with nonprofit regulations.

本會屬於美國稅法規定之 501(c)(6) 商會組織,為會員制非牟利機構。
商會主要提供商業交流、會員服務及合法範圍內的倡議工作。
